MONIQUE E.

Monique is working so hard to maintain her health for many reasons. She feels better physically when she is healthy. She is 43 (she said I could share that with you) and has a permanent neck injury and her knees are also starting to bother her. She has so much more energy and less pain without all the extra weight! Like most of us women, to her, it is also very important how she looks. She loves clothes and loves being able to wear what she wants with confidence.

ANITA L.

Anita is working hard to get healthy because she was diagnosed with diabetes about five years ago. Two of her sisters had gestational diabetes and they still have diabetes. Anita dreams that one day, she'll be free from diabetes.

ANGIE B.

Angie and I have been best friends for 17 years. She has been there for me during all my various attempts to find a healthier me, and has joined me in some of them. A few months ago, I told her about my health program and she honored me by allowing me to be her health coach. Since then, she lost 30 pounds and reached her healthy BMI!

LISA M.

Lisa is working so hard to get healthy because her health began failing her three years ago and she had arthritis and depression.  Her picture of health includes having energy, thriving without arthritis, running her first marathon, and having low blood pressure, low cholesterol, and low c-reactive protein.  Her biggest influence has been her health coach, who inspires her to keep growing and maintaining!

MELISSA W.

Melissa has made great strides towards her own health and the health of her family.  She chose to get healthy because she wants to set a good example for her children, and not teach them to be active and healthy without walking the walk herself.

Melissa knows that when she is healthy, she will be able to run and play with her children for as long as they want.  She isn't concerned with being "skinny," only with feeling healthy.

To get healthy, Melissa changed the way her family eats, not just for herself, but for everyone. The best part is that so far, no one is complaining about eating healthier.

As a busy working mom of two, it is challenging for Melissa to make herself a priority without feeling guilty, to find time to make healthy food and get to the gym.   Melissa says there is nothing "easy" about creating health, but she says that it got easier once she truly decided it was the choice she was going to make.

On tough days, Melissa seeks the support of her great friends, especially the ones that have gone through the same tough things she is going through.  She recognizes that there are many ups and downs and learning to deal with them and work around them is definitely an ongoing process.

Melissa is proud that not only does she now fit in everything in her closet, her clothes are now getting too big.  Successes like those are the best parts about getting healthy for her right now.

AMANDA S.

One of the reasons Amanda is working so hard to get healthy is to gain better control of a medical condition in hopes of getting off her medication for that condition and regaining her life!

Her biggest influence is her health coach (and my very good friend), Tracy, and seeing all of Tracy's success!

The biggest change Amanda has made is weighing and measuring her food.  It really puts things in perspective for her. She was amazed when she compared how much she ate in the past to her new healthy portions!
