Ask for your salad dressing on the side and pour a little at a time.
Before I committed to my health program, I used to ask for EXTRA dressing on the side because the dressing pre-poured on the top by the waitress never reached the bottom of the salad. So, I'd use the extra half-way through eating the salad.
Now, I use a quarter of the amount and pour a little bit at a time. Salad dressing can be a healthy fat if you use it appropriately; it can also sabotage your well-intentioned meal if you don't. Not to mention, you can only taste dressing when the salad is drowning in dressing!
